Normal Ear Function

The ear has three main parts to it’s function, the outer ear, middle ear and inner ear. The outer ear opens into the ear canal, the ear drum separates the ear canal from the middle ear. The middle ear contains the small bones known as malleus, the incus and the stapes help amplify and transfer sound into the inner ear. The inner ear contains the cochlea with changes sound into neurological signals which take sounds to the brain.
